Different_compensation

Individual compensation

Benefits:

-Eliminates penalties for excessive consumption of power system.
-Optimizes the whole electric installation. Reactive current Ir is supplied in the same place it is consumed.

- Reduces power demand from the transformer (power available in kW).

Notes:

-Reactive current is not present through the installation upstream
-Losses due to Joule effect are completely suppressed.

Partial compensation

Benefits:

-Eliminates penalties for excessive consumption of power factor.
-Optimizes part of the installation, current does not flow through levels 1 and 2.
-Reduces power demand from the transformer (power available in kW).

Notes:

-Reactive current (Ir) is present in the installation, from level 2 to the receivers.
-Losses due to Joule effect are reduced (not fully supressed).

Global compensation

 Benefits:

-Eliminates penalties for excessive consumption of power factor.
-Adapts the apparent power (S in kVA) to the actual needs of the installation.
-Reduces power demand from the transformer (power available in kW).

Notes:

-Reactive current (Ir) is present in the installation from level 1 to the receivers.
-Losses due to Joule effect are not reduced.
